Welcome to my blog. My name is Robin Kratina and I am a teacher at Bellevue West High School. I teach Psychology AP and Economics, along with Social Studies electives. My electives teaching assignments change from year to year, sometimes from semester to semester, good thing I'm a Gemini.
I'm a Maverick. I have two undergraduate degrees and a master's degree from UNO. My sister and brother both attended UNO as did my children, so I guess we're kind of a UNO family. Teaching is a second career for me and I love it! I was a Sheriff's Deputy in Sarpy County, Nebraska for 21 years. I really enjoyed by law enforcement career. I worked with some amazing and highly professional people. I learned a lot about the law and a lot about people.
I am married and have three grown children. I have a dog, a Jack Russell Terrier named Molly. She is really smart and she loves to learn too.
I would like to use this blog to communicate with my students. Particularly my Psychology AP students. This is my first attempt at something like this. I am very comfortable with a PC, because that is what I have been exposed to, but I have also used Macs. I have a FB page for my students as well as a personal one. I live by my Blackberry. But I still don't consider myself "tech savvy", so bear with me as I learn.
